Role Description The Radiology Department Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at Chenies Mews Imaging Centre in London. This position supports daily operations within the imaging department, involving patient preparation (including IV cannulation), patient positoning and aftercare. The assistant helps radiographers and clinicians by supporting patient centred care, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring imaging rooms and equipment are prepared for examinations. Responsibilities also include handling telephone and email inquiries, managing referrals and reports, and assisting with basic administrative tasks to keep workflows efficient. The role requires consistent attention to patient comfort, adherence to safety and confidentiality standards, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical and administrative teams. Role Details 35 hours per week Monday to Friday (9am-5pm) Competitive salary and attractive benefits package Qualifications Strong administrative and organisarional skills, including record keeping, and document management. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients and collaborate with clinical staff. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information, referrals, and imaging requests. Comfort working in a clinical environment, with an understanding of patient confidentiality and basic healthcare procedures. Proficiency in using office software, patient management systems, and email for day-to-day tasks. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and remain calm in a busy imaging department. Prior experience in healthcare, radiology, or medical administration is beneficial but not essential. Relevant vocational training or education in healthcare administration or a similar field is an advantage. Prior training and practical experience with venepuncture and IV cannulation is desirable .
