The Analyst, ETRM reports to the Manager, ETRM Applications and is responsible for delivering IT solutions and supporting ETRM applications. Delivering IT business solutions includes documenting business requirements and application configuration, quality assurance testing, and facilitating user acceptance testing. Supporting ETRM applications includes responding to production issues and working with users and other IT ETRM team members to resolve problems in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

You will work with other Cheniere subject matter experts and will be responsible for documentation, configuration, testing and support of ETRM business applications, including but not limited to Endur, Zema, IMOS, and custom applications. The Analyst, ETRM coordinates with vendors, DBAs, IT Infrastructure personnel, technical consultants, and other staff to deliver solutions.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Actively participates and leads requirements gathering, configuration, testing and implementation of ETRM application solutions
  • Takes ownership of projects and assignments
  • Works on multiple projects concurrently and/or multiple high priority production support issues simultaneously.
  • Works with ETRM team members to ensure core and custom solutions adhere to best practices.
  • Investigates and resolves support problems through research and technical analysis.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Knowledge:

Experience designing and delivering technical solutions to meet complex business requirements in a commodity trading environment.Exposure to front, middle or back-office functions with understanding of some of the following areas will be beneficial: Gas, LNG & financial deal capture, Mark to Market, PnL Explained, Risk Exposure, Scheduling, Settlements and Accounting in OpenLink Endur Application or any other ETRM system

Skills:

  • Communication Skills: Ability to articulate and document complex technical ideas and user requirements for business stakeholders.
  • Exposure to the full deal lifecycle including the following:
    • Trading Entry & position Management
    • Valuation & Risk Management
    • Shipping operations using Veson IMOS or any other application
    • Industry Interfaces i.e., Trayport, ICE, CME
    • Operations/ Logistics/ Nominations (Gas & LNG)
    • Invoicing & Settlements
    • Market Data Feeds and Curve Management (ZEMA)
    • Regulatory Compliance e.g., FERC, Dodd-Frank, SOX, REMIT, EMIR

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education, Training and Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT/related field or equivalent yearsof relevant experience

Experience:

  • Developing with OpenLink Endur, JVS and/or .NET and Oracle DBMS and PL/SQL, hands-on knowledge around configuration, customization, and integration using Openlink Endur.
  • Experience with pricing systems such as Zema or other pricing / time-series systems is a plus
  • Experience in effective time management and applying strong analytical, organization and problem-solving skills.
