We are seeking to recruit a Science Technician to support the Science Department Team in the provision of timely and effective support for students and staff. The successful candidate will undertake the following tasks:
- Perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations.
- Carry out routine tasks accurately and carry out analyses.
- Prepare samples and solutions.
- Construct, maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment, ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked, resourced and tidy.
- Keep up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability.
- Keep up to date with Health and Safety requirements, following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks are adhered to.
