We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Duties

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on financial procedures and best practices
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits to ensure smooth processes
  • Implement improvements in financial management systems and processes to enhance efficiency

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in financial accounting within a similar role - Minimum 2 years experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential
  • Strong understanding of financial services and management principles
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior staff is desirable
  • Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA are preferred but not mandatory
