We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on financial procedures and best practices
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits to ensure smooth processes
- Implement improvements in financial management systems and processes to enhance efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial accounting within a similar role - Minimum 2 years experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential
- Strong understanding of financial services and management principles
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior staff is desirable
- Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA are preferred but not mandatory
