The aim of the role is to support our growing business. We are now looking to recruit a Field Service Technician based either in the North West of England or in the Midlands, to achieve the planned level of operational utilisation. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, the successful candidate will spend much of their time hands-on, working on site carrying out carbon transfer operations for bulk tanker collections and deliveries of virgin and reactivated carbons, which may include site assessments prior to work taking place. The role is service-focused and requires a high attention to good customer site relations.
The aim of this role is to:
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency of operations
- Monitor, record and optimise process conditions
- Comply with all EHS standards, operating procedures, company policies and local legislation
- Follow ISO procedures and propose new ideas for continuous improvement
- Co-ordinate site activities between Logistics, Production, Customer Service and Field Service teams and maintain relevant customer site data for contacts, filter and access details etc.
- Adhere to Company and customer site HSE policies and procedures
Previous HSE training and experience are an advantage. The successful applicant will need to be computer literate (Excel and Word experience) with numeracy and literacy skills and have an ability to analyse and check information for accuracy.
The successful applicant will have:
- City & Guilds/NVQ in maintenance/repair or similar application
- Proven experience with similar practical and site skills
- Excellent customer relations, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude and self-motivated
- Well organised, reliable, able to follow instructions with excellent timekeeping
- Clean Driving Licence as frequent travel is required
- Comfortable working alone or as part of a team
- Be able to commit to at least 3 nights away a week
