We're hiring a Project Engineer at Chemstore. This role reports directly to the Managing Director and sits at the centre of how we deliver projects for clients like DEFRA, Johnson Matthey, Amazon, Ford, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin and McLaren. You'll own the delivery of live hazardous materials storage projects, everything after the point of sale, through to handover and beyond. Day to day, that means managing project delivery to client sites, coordinating sub-contractors and suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project, and managing our service and maintenance teams and schedules. You'll work alongside our Sales, Fabrication and Installation teams across the UK and Ireland.
What we're looking for:
- Degree in a technical or engineering discipline
- Strong communicator, equally comfortable on a client call or in a site meeting
- Highly organised, detail focused, able to juggle several live projects at once
- Confident managing sub-contractors, suppliers and internal service teams
Bonus points for any of the following:
- Hazardous materials storage, fire engineering or process safety background
- Working knowledge of DSEAR, ATEX, COSHH or chemical segregation/handling
- CompEx, IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications
- SolidWorks or other 3D CAD experience
Full time role based at our Tooting (SW17) London office with some UK site travel. Attractive package, plus discretionary bonus, pension, company laptop and funded technical training. Please submit your CV and a short covering note (half a page is plenty) explaining why you think you're suited to the role, to careers@chemstore.co.uk. We read every application personally. If it's not for you but you know someone who'd be a strong fit, a share would be hugely appreciated.
