Process Safety Engineer
Are you a safety-focused engineer who wants to make a real impact in a high-hazard manufacturing environment?
We’re looking for a Process Safety Engineer to join our HSSE team and support safe, compliant and reliable operations across site.
Working closely with HSSE, operations, engineering and maintenance teams, you’ll help identify risks, strengthen controls and promote a proactive safety culture.
- What you’ll be doing
- Supporting HSSE management systems, inspections, audits and action tracking.
- Providing practical process safety, risk management and compliance guidance.
- Supporting risk assessments, safe operating procedures and control measures.
- Helping ensure compliance with legislation, company policy and local procedures, including COMAH and ER2014.
- Contributing to incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Championing safe behaviours and continuous improvement across the site.
- What we’re looking for
You’ll be a confident and credible safety professional who can influence positive change and turn process safety requirements into practical ways of working.
- You’ll bring
- A degree or equivalent in Occupational Safety and Health, Process Safety, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in an HSSE role within a high-hazard manufacturing environment.
- Strong risk assessment, incident investigation and root cause analysis experience.
- Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Advanced IT skills, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Useful knowledge
Knowledge of explosive safety principles, ER2014, COMAH Regulations and relevant business systems would be beneficial.
