Help us turn operational data into better decisions, smarter processes and measurable improvements.

CEUK is part of a global business providing energetic-materials-based equipment to defence, civil defence and key commercial customers. Safety, quality and operational excellence are central to everything we do.

We are looking for a curious and forward-thinking Operations Systems Analyst to join our Ardeer site. This is an opportunity to play a key role in improving how operational information is managed, analysed and used across the business.

Working with colleagues across Operations and other functions, you will strengthen ERP data processes, develop meaningful reports and analytical tools, and identify opportunities to simplify and improve the way we work. You will turn complex information into clear, practical insight that helps managers make informed decisions and improve performance.

This role would suit someone who enjoys understanding how systems and processes work, investigating inconsistencies and using data and digital tools to deliver practical improvements.

What you will be doing

  • Developing and maintaining management information, reports and analytical tools that support operational control and decision-making.
  • Analysing performance data to identify trends, risks, constraints, exceptions and improvement opportunities.
  • Improving the accuracy, consistency, governance and usability of operational data.
  • Supporting ERP data workflows and helping operational teams strengthen data quality and system readiness.
  • Reviewing processes, workflows and digital ways of working to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Using structured problem-solving and analytical techniques to support operational excellence initiatives.
  • Exploring appropriate uses of automation and approved AI technologies to improve reporting, processes and decision support.
  • Validating operational information to ensure it is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.
  • Working with stakeholders across the business to improve information flow, visibility and performance.
  • Maintaining clear documentation, standards and controls for reporting and data-management activities.
  • Presenting complex findings in a clear and accessible way, with practical recommendations for managers.
  • Completing all activities in line with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, company policies and site procedures.

What we are looking for

  • Strong analytical, data-management and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence working with complex information and identifying meaningful trends and insights.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel, together with experience using reporting or data-analysis tools.
  • The ability to turn analytical findings into clear, practical recommendations.
  • A structured and organised approach, with strong attention to accuracy and traceability.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the confidence to challenge inconsistent data or ineffective processes constructively.
  • Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • The ability to build productive working relationships across different teams and functions.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or operational environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio or other approved AI and automation technologies.
  • Experience of process improvement, operational excellence or data-governance activities.

About you

You will be practical, curious and improvement-focused. You will take the time to understand how operational processes work before recommending changes, and you will be comfortable questioning existing approaches when the evidence suggests there is a better way.

You will enjoy working across different functions, balancing competing priorities and explaining technical or analytical information in a straightforward and accessible way.

This is an opportunity to make a visible contribution to operational performance at CEUK. You will help shape how information is managed, how processes are improved and how decisions are made across the business.
