Chemring Energetics UK (CEUK) is a global business providing a range of equipment based on energetic materials for defence, civil defence and key commercial customers. We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team in a unique environment to prepare for and commission a new, state-of-the-art facility to produce propellants for use in rocket motors and ejection systems.

The successful candidate will work through the pre-commissioning phase with the wider team to prepare associated documentation, such as hazard studies, commissioning plans/procedures, operating instructions/procedures, and risk assessments. Time may be spent working with engineers in the current facility to provide knowledge and understanding of the current process to support this.

During the commissioning phase, the candidate will be responsible for certain elements within the process and will share responsibility for delivery of both inert and live (using energetic materials) commissioning with the wider team. This facility is one-of-a-kind, so will present unique challenges and will require individuals to apply who enjoy problem solving and working with a wide array of stakeholders, including regulators, internal stakeholders, HSE, suppliers, design teams, and consultancy.
