The Senior Electrical Engineer will be required to carry out planned ATEX inspections on plant and equipment and ensuring systems, documentation and records are kept up to date, you will also lead the electrical team in safe systems of work.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, carry out and facilitate electrical planned maintenance tasks, EICR’s, shutdowns and installation work in line with current schedules
  • Plan and organise follow up work derived from planned inspection and testing tasks
  • Carry out and oversee electrical installations ensuring compliance with BS7671 including management of contractors
  • Attend to electrical plant breakdowns
  • Carry out minor project work e.g. building rewiring, new equipment installations, process and asset movements, machine upgrades, CCTV installations, energy management etc
  • Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers, site supervision, Engineers, Maintenance Engineering Manager and Principle Electrical Engineer
  • To comply with all health and safety and environmental procedures and regulations laid down by the company and to demonstrate a commitment to health and safety
Specification
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Time served apprenticeship (ONC, NVQ or equivalent) Electrical
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical
  • CompEx – EX1-4 or 5-6 ideally EX14
  • IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
  • Electrical Testing and Inspection – City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent
  • IOSH Managing Safely preferred
  • Must not be colour blind
  • Previously worked in an Electrical role
  • Experience in an automated process environment
  • Experience in maintenance plan execution
  • Knowledge of ATEX
  • Knowledge of DSEAR Regulations

This role will be worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30.
