Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join Luvent Consulting, a Chemonics International company, on a part‑time basis (3 days per week). Luvent Consulting GmbH is a leading international development consultancy with a strong focus on private sector development, climate change, and digitalisation. Luvent works with major international donors including the European Union, GIZ, KfW, and the African and Asian Development Banks. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting Luvent’s financial operations, acting as a vital link between their Berlin office, Chemonics Europe, and the Chemonics International corporate team. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure smooth coordination across teams and time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the month‑end and quarter‑end closing processes in collaboration with the external tax advisor.
- Prepare accurate management accounts for the Company and report to Chemonics Europe to agreed deadlines.
- Post entries timely and accurately to the general ledger, including revenue recognition, project accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and manage intercompany activities between the company and other group entities.
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecast and provide regular cash management reports to Chemonics Europe.
