This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading company in Medical Device Sales.
This role sits in the Medical Division and is a customer facing sales role with responsibility for growing the company’s medical business across the territory. The current product portfolio comprises products in Theatre and Ward consumables – primarily procedure packs, consumables, wound care. There is significant opportunity to expand into new clinical areas and new accounts so the successful candidate will be required to possess very strong business development skills and the ability to generate business leads off their own initiative. The successful candidate will be a committed team player who works well as part of a high performing cross functional team.
In this role you will:
Models the company’s agreed values & behaviours and champions the team’s purpose to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers and suppliers.
Develops a complete and thorough understanding of the relevant portfolios, product value propositions, customer sectors and market dynamics sufficient to enable effective identification of new business opportunities.
Prioritises, plans, and executes sales activities to deliver outstanding business results, this includes actively prospecting new business leads and optimal management of existing accounts.
Expertly demonstrates and presents products in a highly impactful manner ensuring customers fully appreciate the value of the portfolio.
Develops well thought out account and territory business plans to deliver outstanding results.
Develops necessary insight into customers’ needs and usage patterns.
Ensures that agreed revenue and margin targets are achieved.
Delivers an outstanding level of customer service and responds to all sales/support enquiries in a timely and thorough manner.
Ensures that all stages in the sales process including all relevant customer/account/quotation details are recorded and tracked.
Works cross functionally with other teams to ensure the best result for the customer namely, Marketing, Tech Op’s, Finance, Quality and Sales Order Processing.
The client is a specialised, value-adding distributor, supplying essential products and services to the Healthcare, Pharma, Life Sciences and Food Sectors across Ireland and the U.K. They focus on two key areas, Laboratory Sciences and Medical Devices. The Medical Division provides innovative medical devices and services to the Acute Hospital, Community Care and Blood Technology sectors.
Qualifications
· Educated to at least Degree level in scientific/medical discipline and/or business is desirable
· Full Driving Licence
Person experience required
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant commercial experience in Theatre or Medical Surgical sales or business development.
Proven track record of Medical Device sales success in the Irish medical market. Ideally, strong relationships with procurement customers in that segment would be a major advantage.
· Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
· Proven organisational/multi-tasking skills.
· High level of self-initiative, dynamism, and self-management (capable of working independently)
· Strong relationship/team player skills, with ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team.
· Excellent communication skills.
· IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, CRM systems.
· The successful candidate should preferably be based within the territory.
