Exciting new opportunity working for a leading pharmaceutical company. This is a permanent headcount role with a highly competitive package, located in a hybrid setting (home-based and head office).

This is an excellent opportunity to lead the development and implementation of the UK, Ireland and Malta pricing and contracting strategies for allocated products. You will constantly assess changes in the environment that could impact the pricing strategy and lead cross-functional discussions to effectively implement these strategies at the country level, ensuring early access at optimal prices while maintaining commercial viability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Play a leading role in developing the Pricing and Contracting team strategy, defining objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Utilise high-level pricing and contracting knowledge to lead the development, delivery, and implementation of pricing strategies, including Patient Access Schemes (PAS) when needed.
  • Apply excellent knowledge of healthcare systems and the roles influencing the pricing and reimbursement environment in the UK, Ireland, and Malta.
  • Lead pricing and reimbursement discussions to develop and execute market access and pricing-related strategies within integrated customer plans, HTA submissions, brand strategy, and loss of exclusivity (LoE) strategy.
  • Identify innovative and customer-focused contracting strategies to maximise brand NET sales growth.
  • Demonstrate Centre of Excellence behaviours by providing input to product-specific corporate pricing guidelines.
  • Commission and manage large projects with third-party vendors and stakeholders as required.
  • Foster the in-house development and training of other Market Access members.
  • Deliver timely and accurate early price assumptions for the company's pipeline and products close to LoE.

The Person/Experience:

  • Experience as a pricing consultant/manager or similar, with essential Pharma and UK pricing experience.
  • Experience in devising launch pricing strategy for at least two products, including one pipeline asset.
  • Knowledge of innovative pricing methodologies and clear understanding of the Gross to Net model.
  • Strong strategic thinking ability with well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Proven experience in collaborative working within a matrix organisation.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, excellent analytical skills, and entrepreneurialism.
  • Personal presence, effectiveness, customer and business awareness, influencing, assertiveness, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
