We have an exciting new role for a National Sales Manager working in MedTech for a leading healthcare company.

Role: National Sales Manager – MedTech – Procedure Packs

Package: Competitive negotiable salary, bonus, car allowance, pension scheme, private health, and other benefits.

Location: Hybrid – Home working, UK based with 4 days per week in the field. Frequent domestic and some international travel will be required.

We are seeking a commercially astute and strategic National Sales Manager in Procedural Solutions to lead the UK sales team. In this key role, you will shape and implement a national sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and deliver innovative procedural solutions to healthcare providers. With a focus on inspiring your team, strengthening customer relationships, and understanding market dynamics, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving results that enhance patient care and improve efficiency across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the UK sales team.
  • Preparation and execution of the sales plan including monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profit forecasts consistent with the strategic plan.
  • Maintain and grow market share across the Procedure Pack Portfolio.
  • Identify target account profiles and understand the successful sales process for each product segment.
  • Assess the training and development needs of the sales team. Implement appropriate training strategies based on classroom training and accompanied field visits.
  • Use of the performance management systems to actively manage the performance of the team.
  • Use the relevant organisational information and analytics to inform the work and planning of the sales function.
  • Supervise completion of tenders in conjunction with the sales team and contracts administration.
  • Work with marketing to develop sales training components of launch programmes for new products.
  • Work with Finance, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to prepare maintain accurate sales forecast and report monthly.
  • Work collaboratively with Customer Care to establish appropriate SOPs for new processes required.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Managers across the portfolio.
  • Work with the MedTech NSM to manage key customer and supplier relationships as directed.
  • Undertake additional projects as required.

The Person/Experience:

  • Experience of first line sales management in MedTech within national or regional team structures.
  • Demonstrable sales and account retention success ideally a medical/pharma sales background.
  • Proven ability of being able to sell into a social funded health care system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Able to present ideas and concepts in a credible and authentic manner to a variety of audiences both internally and externally.
  • Exceptional customer relationship management at all levels.
  • Excellent organisation and planning – ability to multitask and respond flexibly.
  • Ability to manage without hierarchical authority.
  • High level analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from various sources and ensure that reviewed and presented in a coherent and business relevant manner.
  • Financial planning, including forecasting ability and skills.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office ability especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Educated to Degree level and/or relevant professional qualification.
  • Full Driving Licence.
