About the role
Reporting to: Head of HR
Job type: Permanent
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Working Pattern & Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Hybrid (Office located: Lancashire, WN8)

As Recruitment Manager, you will be responsible for finding and attracting great people to join our business. From identifying hiring needs and creating engaging recruitment campaigns to strengthening our employer brand and building talent communities, you'll ensure we deliver an outstanding candidate experience and secure the best talent for our teams. This is a standalone position, offering the opportunity to shape and manage the full recruitment function while leading all aspects of the recruitment lifecycle from attraction to hire.

Key Responsibilities
As the recruitment manager the key responsibilities will include the following:

•Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, partnering with hiring managers to attract and secure the best talent across the business.
•Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to build diverse talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
•Create engaging job advertisements and oversee the promotion of vacancies across careers sites, job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks.
•Manage and continually enhance the company's presence and reputation across employer review platforms, including Glassdoor and Indeed, responding to feedback where appropriate and implementing initiatives to improve the employee and candidate experience.
•Manage candidate attraction initiatives that strengthen employer brand awareness and position the business as an employer of choice.
•Screen applications, conduct interviews, and assess candidates against role-specific competencies, skills, and cultural fit.
•Coach and support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a consistent and positive candidate experience.
•Define and review selection criteria, interview frameworks, and assessment methods to support effective hiring decisions.
•Provide regular recruitment insights and updates to hiring managers and senior stakeholders, including pipeline activity, market trends, and hiring performance metrics.
•Monitor key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire, quality of hire, turnover, and retention, using data to inform workforce planning and recruitment strategy.
•Maintain and continuously improve job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect role requirements and business needs.
•Act as the main point of contact for candidates, providing a professional, responsive, and engaging experience throughout the hiring journey.
•Deliver timely and constructive feedback to candidates and hiring teams where appropriate.
•Represent the business at careers fairs, networking events, and industry forums to enhance brand visibility and attract top talent.
•Support onboarding activities, ensuring new starters have a seamless transition into the business.
•Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, systems, and employer branding initiatives to drive efficiency and hiring success.


About You
We're looking for an experienced and proactive Recruitment Manager who is passionate about connecting great people with great opportunities. You'll have a proven track record of managing end-to-end recruitment across a range of roles, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
You'll be confident partnering with hiring managers to understand business needs, challenge thinking where appropriate, and develop effective recruitment strategies that attract high-quality talent. A strong communicator, you'll be skilled at engaging candidates, influencing stakeholders, and promoting a positive employer brand.
You will also be commercially minded and data-driven, using recruitment metrics and market insights to identify trends, improve processes, and support workforce planning. With excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you'll have:
•Previous experience in an in-house or agency recruitment role, ideally at management level.
•Proven experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle across a variety of roles.
•Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
•Excellent interviewing and candidate assessment experience.
•Knowledge of sourcing techniques, talent attraction strategies, and recruitment best practices.
•Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment reporting tools.
•A data-driven approach with the ability to analyse recruitment metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
•Outstanding communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
•A passion for delivering an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience.
•A proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused approach to work.
