The Opportunity
We're looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team, supporting core financial reporting, statutory requirements and month‑end processes across the business. Reporting to the Group Accounting and Reporting Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting within a large, complex ASX‑listed environment. You will be hands‑on across month‑end, consolidations and balance sheet integrity, while also contributing to statutory reporting and working closely with external auditors. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a broad, technically strong role with exposure to senior stakeholders and group‑level reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month‑end close processes including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure balance sheet integrity
- Assist with consolidation of financial results across subsidiaries
- Prepare monthly reporting packs and financial commentary for senior stakeholders
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors
- Assist in the preparation of half‑year and annual statutory accounts (ASX reporting)
- Identify and implement improvements to financial controls and processes
- Support ad‑hoc analysis, reporting and finance‑related projects
About you
- CA/CPA qualified
- Experience in financial accounting or external audit (Big 4 or mid‑tier highly regarded)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Experience working in a large or complex environment (ASX exposure desirable)
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
- A proactive, organised and solutions‑focused approach
