Albert\'s Basement Cafe is the in-house café serving staff and visitors at the Chemist Warehouse Head Office in Preston! We\'re a small, friendly team that takes pride in delivering quality food and drinks and keeping the café running smoothly-and we\'re currently looking for a reliable and motivated casual Canteen Assistant / Barista to join us.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and takes pride in keeping things clean, organised, and efficient.
What You\'ll Be Doing:
- Making coffees and serving food and beverages
- Adding new foods and ideas to the canteen menu and specials list
- Handling cash and providing friendly customer service
- Checking stock for expiry dates and monitoring supplies
- Cleaning the kitchen and café area regularly
- Ordering stock, stacking and replenishing (some heavy lifting involved)
- Preparing and cooking hot foods as required
- Taking pre-orders for lunch
What We\'re Looking For:
- Previous Barista experience is essential for this role
- Previous canteen or similar customer service experience is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
