We are looking for you who are fluent in German and English! Join a short-term remote project helping train AI language systems.

Your task in this project is to listen to audio recordings in German then transcribe what you hear accurately. These recordings reflect how Germans actually speak, with different accents, ages, and speaking styles, and your work helps make AI understand local voices better.

If you’re comfortable working with audio, detail-oriented, and can commit a few hours a day, this project is for you.

What will I be doing?

  • Listen to audio clips and transcribe them clearly in the language of the audio
  • Split audio into appropriate sections based on natural speech flow
  • Label speakers when more than one voice is present
  • Add simple tags where required (e.g. gender, age range, emotion)
  • Follow quality and annotation guidelines carefully
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Project Manager
  • Complete assigned tasks within the given timeline

What do I need?

  • Bilingual in German and English (required)
  • Comfortable reading and writing in both German and English
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to understand various German accents and speaking styles
  • Native and non-native German speakers are welcome
  • Non-native speakers should have B1/B2 proficiency or higher, with strong confidence in writing, listening, and reading
  • Detail-oriented and patient, able to maintain at least 95% accuracy
  • Willing to ask questions when unsure
  • Laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection
  • Ability to manage your own time and meet deadlines
  • Willing to complete a pre-assessment as part of the screening process
  • Bonus point: previous experience in transcription, data labelling, or AI-related projects

Project Details

  • Duration: 2 months
  • Time commitment: Around 4–6 hours per day
  • Onboarding Training: Mandatory (TBD, during office hours 9am–6pm GMT +8)
  • Working hours: Flexible (tasks can be completed anytime within the given deadline)
  • Project period: February – March 2026
