An exciting new opportunity to join our global commercial team. Quality Assurance Engineer is a permanent role, reporting to the Quality Manager, which could lead to broader opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead quality investigations associated with customer and internal build quality issues.
  • Identify root cause, implement corrective & preventive actions required using 8D process.
  • Provide quality engineering support to all the production cells.
  • Lead MRB activities in production and Goods Inwards.
  • Assist in day to day running of the customer RMA process.
  • Preparing PPAP and FAIR reports.
  • Assisting in maintaining ISO9001, and ISO 13485 Quality management standards.
  • Carrying internal audits as per ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Assist in supplier quality assurance activities.
  • Conduct quality assurance activity related to new product introduction (NPI).
Skills and Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing within Quality department.
  • Experience of working in an ISO9001 QMS.
  • Experience working to IPC610.
  • Experience in dealing with end customers for resolving quality issues.
  • Experience in dealing with external suppliers for product quality issues.
  • Experience in problem solving methods like 8D, fishbone, 5 Whys, etc.
  • Practical experience of PFMEA, Process Maps and Quality Control Plans.
  • Experience in PPAP and FAIRs.
  • Internal ISO 9001 auditor.
  • Demonstrable people and project management skills.
  • Able to understand the basics of technical drawings, measurements, and tolerances.
  • Experienced with using MS Excel and other basic software (i.e. ICT-literate).
  • Ability to build good inter-personal relationships.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to tasks/projects.
  • Efficient and organised.
  • A proactive problem solver with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Willing to learn from mistakes and handle constructive criticism positively.

Qualifications
  • Essential: A suitable college-level qualification (A-level, BTEC, C&G, NVQ etc.) in a relevant subject.
  • Preferred: Electronics-based qualifications or experience. Bachelor degree in Electronics / Electrical engineering. Knowledge of macros/VBA scripting in MS Office environment. Six-sigma green belt. CQI – Professional qualification.
