- About Chemify
We're not doing chemistry the old way. And we're not building our company the old way either.
Chemify is revolutionising chemistry by bringing together AI, robotics and science to make the synthesis of previously unimaginable molecules, drugs and materials instantly accessible.
We're an ambitious, curious and fast-growing team, made up of scientists, engineers, robotics experts and business specialists.
Everyone brings something different to the table, but we're united by a desire to solve difficult problems and build something that matters.
As we grow, our people and culture are becoming increasingly important.
We want to build an environment where talented people can do their best work, where colleagues feel supported, and where our ways of working evolve alongside the business.
That's where our Talent Acquisition team comes in.
The Role
We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Assistant to join our small, friendly HR team.
This could be a great next step for someone with around 9 months to 2 years of recruitment or HR experience who wants to get involved in much more than traditional recruitment administration.
You'll have the chance to get involved across the full range of Talent Acquisition activity - from scheduling and coordinating interviews, to keeping our ATS in great shape, liaising with candidates and hiring managers, helping scope new roles, and turning recruitment data into meaningful insights.
You'll work closely with our wider HR function, giving you exposure to a broad range of People operations alongside your recruitment work.
If you enjoy variety and learning new things, you'll fit right in.
- What you'll be doing
- Keeping recruitment running smoothly
- Scheduling and coordinating interviews across multiple roles and hiring teams.
- Taking ownership of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), keeping candidate records accurate and up to date.
- Processing candidate and role changes accurately and efficiently.
- Supporting recruitment administration and pre-employment checks.
- Liaising with payroll and other teams to make sure new starter information is processed smoothly.
- Handling confidential candidate information with care and discretion.
- Being there for our candidates and hiring managers
- Liaising with candidates throughout the recruitment process, keeping them informed and ensuring a great experience.
- Following up with hiring managers to keep roles moving and gather timely feedback.
- Signposting candidates and hiring managers to relevant guidance and resources.
- Making our recruitment data work for us
- Taking ownership of ATS data quality, carrying out regular checks and resolving discrepancies.
- Producing recruitment reports for different business needs and turning data into useful insights.
- Tracking recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, source of hire and pipeline conversion.
- Helping us improve the way we use our recruitment systems and data.
- Supporting role scoping and hiring processes
- Working with hiring managers to scope new roles and shape accurate job descriptions.
- Reviewing CVs and applications against role requirements.
- Coordinating meetings and maintaining accurate hiring documentation.
- Supporting the wider recruitment process from requisition through to offer.
- Getting involved in what's next
- Supporting Talent Acquisition and HR projects and initiatives, including workplace transformation.
- Supporting employer branding, candidate communications and new initiatives.
- Bringing your own ideas about how we can do things better.
About You
You don't need to have seen it all just yet.
What matters most to us is that you're curious, keen to learn and excited to grow your Talent Acquisition experience as part of the team.
You'll probably have
- Around 9 months to 2 years of recruitment or HR experience, perhaps as a Talent Acquisition Assistant, Recruitment Coordinator, People Assistant or similar.
- A good understanding of basic recruitment processes and the candidate lifecycle.
- Great organisational skills and the ability to keep on top of multiple roles, diaries and priorities at once.
- A sharp eye for detail - particularly when it comes to candidate data and documentation.
- Strong communication skills and a naturally approachable style.
- A genuine interest in helping people find the right role.
- Confidence communicating with candidates and colleagues at different levels, including hiring managers.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Some experience with an ATS or HR/recruitment systems.
- The ability to handle confidential information thoughtfully and professionally.
- A proactive mindset - you see something that could be better and you're inclined to do something about it.
Why Chemify?
You'll be joining Talent Acquisition at a pretty exciting time.
Chemify is growing quickly, and that means there's a real opportunity to help shape how we hire as we scale.
You won't be joining a huge recruitment machine where everything has already been decided - you'll have a voice.
You'll work in a small, supportive team where you can learn from experienced HR and recruitment colleagues, take ownership of your own work and get exposure to a genuinely broad range of Talent Acquisition and wider People activity.
You'll also get to work alongside some incredibly innovative people doing things that haven't been done before - and play your own part in helping bring the right people into the team that makes it possible.
If you're early in your recruitment career, want to learn fast and like the idea of helping build something rather than simply maintaining something that already exists - we'd love to hear from you!
Please note we are not able to support VISA sponsorship for this position.
