Health & Safety Advisor who is looking to develop their career.
This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across laboratory, manufacturing, engineering and operational environments while contributing to the continuous development of our health, safety and compliance systems.
The Opportunity
- Health and Safety management systems.
- ISO 9001 implementation and auditing.
- ISO 45001 preparation.
- Regulatory compliance and inspections.
- Incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Safety leadership and culture development.
- Strategic health and safety planning.
As the business continues to grow, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of larger projects and progressively develop into a future Health & Safety Manager role.
- Assist with risk assessments, COSHH assessments and DSEAR assessments.
- Support permit-to-work activities and contractor management.
- Participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
- Track corrective and preventative actions through to completion.
- Deliver health and safety inductions and awareness training.
- Support development of toolbox talks, safety campaigns and communications.
- Promote employee engagement in health and safety initiatives.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Conduct workplace inspections and behavioural observations.
- Monitor accident, near miss and hazard reporting systems.
- Support KPI reporting and trend analysis.
- Assist with emergency preparedness exercises and response planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety performance and compliance.
- Support implementation of safety improvement projects.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of company policies, procedures and standards.
- Gradually assume ownership of selected management system elements as experience develops.
