The Business Support Assistant provides high-quality administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business. The role supports colleagues across multiple departments, assisting with administration, office coordination, document management, meeting organisation, and general business support activities.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and professional, with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support across the business.
  • Manage shared inboxes and respond to routine enquiries.
  • Prepare letters, reports, presentations, and other business documents.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems.

Meeting & Event Coordination

  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and coordinate logistics.
  • Take meeting notes and distribute minutes where required.
  • Assist with organising company events, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Manage room bookings and catering arrangements.

Office Services Support

  • Assist with the day-to-day operation of office facilities.
  • Support onboarding activities for new starters.
  • Help maintain office supplies and equipment inventories.
  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers as required.

Business Operations Support

  • Support the implementation of company processes and procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining policies, templates, and business documentation.
  • Help coordinate information for internal communications and the company intranet.
  • Provide administrative support for operational projects and business initiatives.

Customer and Stakeholder Support

  • Provide a professional first point of contact for visitors, customers, and suppliers.
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle enquiries efficiently and escalated issues where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous administrative or office support experience.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Professional and approachable manner.
  • Experience supporting projects or operational activities.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
