Our client is an award-winning UK-based speciality chemicals manufacturer with extensive international business across EMEA, with Asia, particularly Japan, and the US also growing strongly. Recent investment has led to the need to appoint a Chief Commercial Officer.

Job Description

Reporting to the CEO and a key member of the leadership team, this role would combine strategic marketing along with key account sales leadership, management and development of the sales team, and the ability to successfully launch new products. The company is based in NW UK and while regular site attendance would be required as part of the leadership team, relocation would not be required. That said, the expectation is the successful candidate would be UK based.

Job Requirements

  • Experienced sales and marketing leader from the speciality chemicals or related sector
  • Skilled at sales and negotiations in international territories with good cross-cultural skills
  • Experience of advanced sales techniques, channel management and strategic marketing
  • Clear evidence of leadership and experience building and leveraging a commercial team
  • Solid technical understanding with a degree or better in chemistry or related areas
  • Experience of polymer additives in particular would be advantageous but is not critical
