Cheltenham Ladies’ College welcomes pupils from leading Japanese schools to improve their English during the summer months. Each summer school comprises of between 25-40 Japanese girls, aged 15-17 years. The pupils have English lessons, but also have a busy itinerary of excursions and extra-curricular activities. We aim to give the pupils a taste of what it is like to study at a leading British boarding school.
We have an opportunity for 2 Course Managers to assist the Commercial Manager with the day to day operation of the centre. The Course Managers will be responsible for ensuring the course runs smoothly including overseeing the running of the activity and excursion programme, managing the boarding and pastoral facilities, as well as supervising our Course Assistants. The Course Managers will stay in a boarding house with the students and as such accommodation and food will be provided for the duration of the contract.
Successful candidates will have previous experience of supervising or working with minors and will have the ability to speak English clearly, coherently and confidently to large groups of people. We welcome female applicants only as this is a girls’ residential summer school. This is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act.
