Cheltenham Town are looking for a part-time Foundation Phase Sports Therapist to support their Academy.
The Role
Working mainly with Foundation Phase teams, and supporting the Youth Phase where needed, you will provide pitch-side first aid and trauma management at evening training and fixtures. You will liaise with the Lead 9s–16s Sports Therapist to cover all schoolboy age groups and work under the guidance of the Academy Senior Physiotherapist.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency pitch-side first aid at Academy training and fixtures
- Diagnose and treat injuries
- Deliver early injury rehabilitation and management
- Assist other medical staff when required
- Liaise with coaches and families about player wellbeing
- Travel to away fixtures, meetings and events as required
About You
- Registered with the HCPC, CSP, SST or BASRaT
- A BSc in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy or Sports Rehabilitation
- First aid equivalent to ITMMiF or higher (or working towards) and FA Safeguarding Children
- Match and training sports therapy experience, ideally with children in an elite football environment
- Experience of PMA, Excel and Word
- A full clean driving licence and DBS clearance

- Location: Cheltenham Town FC Training Ground (GL51 9RX), with sessions at All Saints Academy, Evesham United FC and the University of Gloucestershire
- Contract: Permanent, part time (12 hours per week)
- Working pattern: Monday 5–7pm, Tuesday 5:30–8pm, Friday 5:30–8:30pm and Sunday fixtures (home 9:30am–1:30pm); away travel paid at the casual rate
