We are seeking customer-focused individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent service to join our Health and Fitness Centre team. Cheltenham Ladies’ College has made a significant investment in its sporting facilities with the development of a new Health and Fitness Centre. The facility is used by College students as part of their Sport and Physical Activity programme, as well as during their leisure time. The Centre is also open to the local community as a health club.

As a Recreation Assistant you will work as part of a small team helping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all users while maintaining high standards of customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising the swimming pool
  • Setting up sports areas
  • Safely moving equipment
  • Carrying out cleaning duties

You will have strong communication skills and a proactive, helpful approach to customers. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is essential. You will remain positive and professional, even when working in busy and sometimes challenging situations.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), working on a rota basis that includes evenings and weekends. A National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification (NPLQ) is desirable but not essential; training can be provided to the right candidate.
