ESTIMATING MANAGER Middleton, Manchester (M24) | Full-time | Up to £70,000 DOE Cheltenham Green Civils is looking for an experienced Estimating Manager to lead our estimating function as we continue our ambitious growth plans.
This is a senior role with genuine influence over the future direction of the business — working directly with the Managing Director and Commercial Team to drive our tender strategy and win the right work.
ABOUT US We deliver civil engineering and groundworks packages for leading UK contractors across the commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

THE ROLE – Managing enquiries from key clients – Reviewing drawings and specifications – Producing competitive tenders – Measuring quantities – Obtaining subcontractor quotations – Pricing labour, plant and materials – Value engineering – Risk analysis – Tender adjudications – Client meetings – Maintaining estimating databases – Supporting business development WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR – Significant experience pricing civil engineering and groundworks projects – Strong understanding of construction methods – Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills – Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously – Experience with Bluebeam, Excel or similar estimating software – A drive to continually improve estimating processes Experience pricing drainage, foundations, reinforced concrete, external works and infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.
