Cheltenham College invites applications for the post of Rowing Coach. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic rowing programme and inspire the next generation of athletes. Working closely with the Head of Rowing and the wider team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality coaching to our rowers, fostering a culture of enthusiasm, discipline, and teamwork, while supporting the continued success and development of the programme.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and effective coaching sessions for designated squads.
- Contribute to the delivery and implementation of structured training programmes.
- Support land‑based training sessions as required.
- Uphold and promote the highest standards of safety on and off the water.
- Play an active role in the ongoing development of the Boat Club, its facilities, and equipment.
Work Hours
Zero‑hour contract, with an expectation of around 10 hours per week during College Term Time. Normal days of working are Thursdays and Saturdays, with additional sessions on other days from time to time. Rowing takes place in Spring and Summer Term (January to July). Competitive rate of pay depending on coaching/experience level.
