About the Department
The Pre-Prep is a dynamic and busy department and is very much part of the Cheltenham Prep, occupying self-contained buildings at the heart of the school campus.
Role Overview
For September 2026 and for a fixed period of one year, Cheltenham Prep is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join the Pre-Prep. The Teaching Assistant will assist in the provision of a variety of activities whilst maintaining the care and safety of pupils in Key Stage 1.
Responsibilities
- Assist in a variety of activities and maintain care and safety of pupils in Key Stage 1.
- Take responsibility for small-group teaching and share responsibility for teaching phonics alongside Prep teachers.
- Possibility to teach for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- Experience in EYFS/KS1; qualified at Level 3 NVQ or higher.
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
- Good communication skills, oral and written, are essential; SEND experience desirable.
Salary & Hours
College has its own pay scale and salary will depend on experience and qualifications. Hours are full time (37.5 hours per week) term time only.
