The Role:
You will work with Repairs Supervisors and the Logistics Co-ordinator to provide effective and efficient multi-trade repair, maintenance and replacement services to occupied and unoccupied homes. You will undertake a breadth of repairs across various trades, consistently demonstrating quality workmanship and the excellent behaviours expected of a Senior Trades Person. Your performance will be assessed through the multi-trade skills and behaviour matrix, with training provided where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out day-to-day multi-trade repairs and maintenance including groundworks, bricklaying, roofing repairs, general building works and all associated tasks
- Provide supervision and training to junior trades, trainees and apprentices when required
- Demonstrate competency in carpentry, plumbing and household appliance installation and removal
- Plan daily duties effectively to ensure efficiency and safety for workforce, contractors, tenants and the public
- Understand and assist in delivering safeguarding policies and tailored services to vulnerable tenants
You:
- Demonstrable experience carrying out multi-trade work across various building disciplines
- Competent van driver comfortable working in town environments
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and Asbestos Regulations
- Experience in manual handling and working safely from ladders and in confined spaces
- Ability to use Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) for job recording and material ordering
