At the heart of Cheltenham's most unique buildings, the Property Team delivers everything from daily maintenance to multi-million-pound redevelopments driven by record investment in sustainability, refurbishment, and regeneration projects while fostering continuous learning, professional growth, and collaboration on diverse, rewarding challenges.
Cheltenham Borough Council is at the heart of the local community. The organisation owns lots of buildings and assets including the iconic Grade I listed Pump Rooms, a wealth of renowned heritage properties which attract visitors from afar as well as recreational facilities, including a football stadium. They have key partnerships with The Cheltenham Trust, Ubico, Cheltenham BID and Cheltenham Festivals, to name a few.
We are seeking to appoint a confident Project Manager as a key role within the Commercial Property team driving and delivering exciting capital projects and planned maintenance delivery. You will be managing complex construction, refurbishment and regeneration projects from inception through to the planning and construction phase, handover and thereafter ensuring a smooth transition to occupation and use. You will engage with a range of stakeholders including contractors, consultants, occupiers, land owners, development partners, councillors and other government bodies.

The Candidate:
- You will have minimum 5+ years' experience in the construction, refurbishment and regeneration sector, managing complex property projects from inception through to the planning and construction phase.
- Possess or working towards a relevant professional membership, such as RICS/CIOB (or equivalent).
- The individual's character and teamwork ethic is most important.
Salary & Employee Benefits:
- Basic salary range between £48,738 to £54,229.
- An excellent pension scheme. You will be eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
- A generous holiday entitlement of 26 days (pro rata) rising to 31 days (pro rata) after five years (excluding Bank Holidays).
