We have an exciting opening for a Senior Designer to join us at Renfold brands. You will be responsible for the full end to end design process of our off price collections including Urban Threads, Sugar dust and Brooklyn supply company to name a few. We are looking for someone who can help build, shape and accelerate our exciting nascent fashion brands. This is an ideal role for someone with start-up energy, strong creative instincts, and the ability to execute quickly and resourcefully. This role covers both shape and print and spans multi category and multi gender from Nightwear to Daywear and Accessories, Mens, Womens and Kids. This role leads into the Head of Product.
As an established Senior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating elevated, forward thinking and sustainable collections, leading a design team of 3-4 whilst also having a hands on role yourself. You will work in collaboration with the Head of Design on our full price and lead the Design team to create commercial and balanced collections that sit in line with the brands core values and DNA. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Senior Designer with leadership experience, who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Design Team: Bring to life each brands Collections ensuring distinct identities that resonate with each target audience and meet the needs of our wholesale customers.
- Trend & Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing trend and market research to inform design strategy and maintain commercial relevance. Be confident in pulling visual presentations and deliver confidently to the team and senior management.
- Create Compelling Concepts: Collaborate with the Head of product and Full Price head of Design to create innovative and compelling design concepts that align with brand vision. They need to be seasonally appropriate, meet customer needs, alongside driving trend and newness.
- Identify Key Items: Define and prioritize key styles and core items that drive the seasonal assortment.
- Fits: Apply strong technical expertise in fit, construction, and quality to ensure exceptional product execution.
- Fabric & Sustainability: Have extensive knowledge across fabrications that meet our sustainability and price requirements, alongside driving newness.
- Workflow Management: Establish and manage efficient design workflows, ensuring critical path deadlines and clear team communication are met.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor, coach, and develop team members to foster growth, collaboration, and high performance.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Relationships: Partner closely with cross-functional teams to align design with business, production, and merchandising goals.
Experience and Skills Required
- Already an established Senior Designer, with at least 6+ years of experience in the fashion industry.
- Showcasing a strong portfolio across concept, research, design, CAD and final execution.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator).
- You must have a strong background in CAD and be able to work at a fast pace.
- Excellent knowledge of brand identity and experience of working across multiple brands at any one time.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills, able to balance multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Off price experience would be advantageous.
25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays Flexi-hours Hybrid working - 3 days in office after successfully passing probation (5 days in office during probation). Office based in Chiswick, London.
