As an established Senior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating elevated, forward thinking and sustainable Womenswear Nightwear collections at Chelsea Peers. Leading the design process, you will work in collaboration with the Head of Design, and lead the Design team to create commercial and balanced collections that sit in line with the brands core values and DNA. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Senior Designer with leadership experience, who thrives working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating collections that are innovative.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Design Team: Bring to life the Women's Nightwear concept, overseeing the design team to deliver high-quality, on-brand product outcomes.
- Trend & Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing trend and market research to inform design strategy and maintain commercial relevance. Be confident in pulling visual presentations and deliver confidently to the team and senior management.
- Create Compelling Concepts: Collaborate with the Head of Design and Design team to create innovative and compelling design concepts that align with brand vision. They need to be seasonally appropriate, meet customer needs, alongside driving trend and newness.
- Identify Key Items: Define and prioritize key styles and core items that drive the seasonal assortment.
- Fits: Apply strong technical expertise in fit, construction, and quality to ensure exceptional product execution.
- Fabric & Sustainability: Have extensive knowledge across fabrications that meet our sustainability requirements alongside continually sourcing newness.
- Workflow Management: Establish and manage efficient design workflows, ensuring critical path deadlines and clear team communication are met.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor, coach, and develop team members to foster growth, collaboration, and high performance.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Relationships: Partner closely with cross-functional teams to align design with business, production, and merchandising goals.
Experience and Skills Required
- Already an established Senior Designer, with at least 6+ years of experience in the fashion industry. Showcasing a strong portfolio across concept, research, design, CAD and final execution.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator). You must have a strong background in CAD and be able to work at a fast pace.
- Excellent knowledge of brand identity.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills, able to balance multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
