About the role
We are looking for an experienced Compliance & ESG Manager (B Corp Lead) to join our team. Reporting into the Compliance & Technical Manager, you will support product compliance across the Chelsea Peers and Renfold brand portfolio, while taking full company-wide ownership of B Corp, leading recertification, impact improvement planning, and cross-functional delivery.
You will also be responsible for translating ESG reporting expectations and emerging EU sustainability legislation into practical implementation, with a key deliverable being the end-to-end delivery of Digital Product Passports (DPP), including internal data readiness, supplier onboarding, and scalable, compliant product records. This is a hands-on role for someone confident working across systems, data, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Act as company-wide B Corp Lead, owning recertification, improvement plans, and cross-functional coordination.
- Align business practices with ESG reporting frameworks (e.g. CSRD-aligned expectations), ensuring audit-ready data and governance.
- Maintain ESG policies, processes, and reporting inputs across Product, Sourcing, Operations, People, Finance, and Marketing.
- Lead ESG data mapping, collection, validation, and documentation across environmental, social and governance topics.
- Implement controls to ensure ESG data is consistent, repeatable, and suitable for external assurance.
- Support ESG reporting and certification requirements, including B Corp submissions.
- Monitor upcoming UK/EU sustainability legislation and translate requirements into internal actions and timelines.
- Define required data fields and workflows.
- Establish supplier inputs and validation.
- Support tool/system set-up where needed.
- Ensure DPP-ready product records can be maintained at scale.
- Support the Compliance & Technical Manager with product compliance delivery, documentation, and supplier requirements.
- Ensure product compliance activity aligns with ESG commitments and sustainability standards.
- Own supplier onboarding processes and ensure compliance and ESG requirements are met.
- Lead factory audit coordination, CAP tracking, and documentation management.
- Drive supplier engagement on sustainability, traceability, and responsible practices, including supplier readiness for DPP.
- Deliver ESG/B Corp training and guidance across teams.
- Support accurate, substantiated sustainability claims and continuous improvement in ESG performance and reporting maturity.
Skills & experience
- Experience in an ESG, sustainability, compliance, or technical role within fashion, textiles, or consumer products.
- Strong understanding of ESG reporting expectations and implementation of processes/controls.
- Hands-on experience leading B Corp certification and improvement planning.
- Working knowledge of UK/EU product compliance, with ability to support delivery.
- Strong IT/systems and data capability, including product data, traceability, and supplier data capture.
- Experience delivering cross-functional implementation projects and managing suppliers.
- Experience coordinating supplier onboarding and factory audits, including CAP follow-up.
- Strong communication skills and high proficiency in Excel.
- Experience delivering DPP and/or traceability programmes using tools/platforms (e.g. PLM, ERP, supplier portals).
