About the role
We are looking for an Established Buyer / Product Developer to take full ownership of the Home & Accessories categories across Chelsea Peers. This role covers the full process from strategy through to product launch — developing ranges that are commercially successful, aligned to brand identity, and delivered on time. You will work closely with design, technical and suppliers to ensure product quality, margin, and delivery targets are met.
Key responsibilities
- Category Strategy & Range Development: Lead the seasonal buying and product development strategy for Home & Accessories. Build ranges that meet financial targets and align with brand positioning. Use sales analysis and market insight to determine option counts, pricing architecture, and category mix. Identify opportunities for new product development and category growth.
- Commercial Management: Negotiate cost prices, terms, and lead times with suppliers to maximise margin. Oversee the sourcing strategy, identifying new factories and regions as required. Ensure all products meet margin, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Own the category critical path, ensuring all key dates and launch timelines are achieved, including delivery of SMS samples. Manage sample approvals and fits (with Garment Technology where applicable). Oversee corrective actions on returns or faulty products in collaboration with the technical team. Work cross-functionally to deliver cohesive, market-relevant collections. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Support continuous improvement in sustainability, ethical sourcing, and innovation.
Skills & experience
- Proven buying/product development experience within Home & Accessories (multi-category experience advantageous).
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering category growth.
- Skilled in supplier negotiation and relationship management.
- Experience managing high option counts and critical paths.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Confident working at pace and managing multiple priorities.
- Interest in sustainability and product innovation.
