About the role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Buying Administration Assistant to join our Buying team at Chelsea Peers.
You will provide essential administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth running of the buying function, working closely with the buying, design and operations teams.
Its a fast-paced role where accuracy, organisation, and a proactive approach are key.
Key responsibilities
Critical Path & Order Management
- Assist in managing the buying critical path, liaising with suppliers and flagging any delivery risks.
- Support in raising orders, updating systems, and monitoring progress through to delivery.
- Manage system updates to maintain accurate order records
Product Preparation & Approvals
- Support product approval processes, ensuring all products meet brand standards before production.
- Maintain product files and records, ensuring colour and design details are accurate and consistent.
- Support in garment fitting and administration of test reports and transactional certificates
Meetings & Reporting
- Prepare materials for weekly trade meetings.
- Complete product information sheets to support marketing, copywriting, and internal communication.
Sample Management
- Manage incoming and outgoing samples, ensuring they are correctly stored, labelled, and prepared for photoshoots.
- Assist with showroom set-up and garment steaming for key meetings.
Market & Website Checks
- Review the Chelsea Peers website after product launches and share feedback with the team.
- Monitor competitor activity, seasonal ranges, and pricing benchmarks.
Skills & experience
- Degree in Fashion and or business desirable
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across teams and with suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
- An interest in fashion and product is highly desirable.
The practical details
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- This role is office-based in Chiswick, West London, 5 days a week until successful completion of probation, after which hybrid working is available.
