CONTRACT: Fixed Term - 12 Months

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join our Women’s Academy and to assist in the planning and delivery of high-quality sessions with the U15 team, while leading the Women’s Academy Talent ID strategy for the Foundation and Youth Development phases (U12 – U15).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning & delivery of high-quality training sessions for the U15 squad, following the clubs Game model, practice methodology and player development framework.
  • Provide individual support for all players to aid their development.
  • Assist with matchday planning and delivery, including player selection, match preparation and post-game analysis.
  • Maintain high professional standards and ensure a positive training and matchday environment.
  • Lead the design and execution of the Talent ID strategy across the U12 – U15 age groups.
  • Build and maintain a scouting network to monitor local, regional and national talent. Alongside this, understand the required levels across international competitions.
  • Organise and manage talent ID events, trials, open sessions and scouting opportunities.
  • Work closely with age group coaches, Recruitment Lead and Head of Women’s Academy, to identify players who fit the club’s player profile and long-term development goals.
  • Maintain up to date scouting reports and player tracking databases.
  • Observe games and training sessions to identify potential recruits.
  • Liaise with external clubs, organisations and schools, to promote positive partnerships and facilitate player access.
  • Provide timely reports and updates to the Recruitment Lead and Phase leads on talent identification efforts.
  • Contribute to Individual Action Plans (IAPs) for newly recruited and current players.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, scouts and other stakeholders.
  • Perform any other duties as required for the Senior Team & Academy.

What you will bring to the role

  • UEFA B Licence (Essential)
  • Postgraduate qualification in relevant subject (e.g. Sport Science/Coaching) (Desirable)
  • Coaching and Scouting in Youth football environment
  • Strong understanding of age-specific development principles and player profiling
  • Experience working with elite youth female athletes (Desirable)
  • Previous professional playing experience (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of grassroots, school and academy level football
  • Excellent observation, evaluation, and communication skills
