You won’t just deliver—you’ll set direction, create clarity, and elevate standards across the entire therapy provision.

What it involves:

  • Support the formulation and implementation of a Strategic Vision for The Women’s Performance Support Team at Chelsea FC.
  • Lead the definition of the philosophy, the unification of the Performance Therapy team through shared consciousness and the empowered execution (implementation and delivery) of a data driven and evidence based programme.
  • Lead and line manage Physiotherapists, Soft tissue therapists and allied health professionals such as Osteopathy and Podiatry.
  • Build competence, integrity and consistency in the Performance Therapies programme.
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation with the rest of the Performance Support team.
  • Work alongside the other members of the Performance Medicine team, including external specialists in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of players in line with current evidence-based best practice.

What we are looking for:

  • An experienced and credible therapy professional (physiotherapy or equivalent background) with expertise across multiple therapy disciplines.
  • A proven leader who can set vision, influence and integrate across functions, and bring others with them.
  • Strong understanding of elite sport environments and multidisciplinary working.
  • Ability to translate strategy into practical, high-impact delivery for both teams and individuals.
  • A proactive, innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and performance outcomes.

What we offer:

  • 25 days annual leave, a 5% pension contribution, private health insurance and life assurance at four times salary, plus daily access to elite facilities, people and development opportunities.

Our Expectations:

  • To embody the club’s BLUE behaviours (Brave, Lead, Unity, Edge) in the approach to work and interaction with others.
  • To adhere to the club’s policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and GDPR.
  • To act as an ambassador for diversity, equality, and inclusion, and demonstrate a positive commitment by treating others fairly in line with our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy and reporting any acts of discrimination through appropriate channels.
  • To create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either in your care or attending club premises, and report any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead.
  • To report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department.
