We are currently recruiting for an Associate Counsel within our Commercial Legal Team, to help us win today and tomorrow.
We are looking for an experienced commercial lawyer who will take pride and interest in working at a unique and ambitious football club in a fast-paced and high-performance environment.
- Main Responsibilities
- Providing accurate, timely and commercially-minded legal advice on an array of commercial matters, including to the Club’s senior leaders and executive management.
- Supporting and leading on the drafting and negotiation of a diverse range of commercial contracts.
Areas include partnerships, suppliers, image rights, marketing & fan engagement, technology, ticketing, venue, merchandise & licensing, operations, tours & travel.
- Providing a positive and solutions-oriented approach to issues and challenges, often in relation to challenging and innovative matters.
- Adopting and demonstrating the Legal team’s and the Club’s values in conduct, approach and output.
- Assisting in the development and delivery of efficient legal processes and service provision within the Club, including via the use of AI tools and other technology.
- Identifying and assuming responsibility for legal and non-legal projects. Working with departments across the Club to deliver projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Contributing to the development and roll-out of knowhow across the Club.
- Working with external advisors where necessary to ensure value and delivery within required timeframes.

Qualifications & Experience
- UK qualified lawyer with 4-6 PQE in a reputable commercial practice or in-house team.
- Excellent academic credentials and extensive commercial contracts experience.
