JOB TITLE: Sessional Men’s Academy Physiotherapist
LOCATION: Cobham
The Opportunity
To deliver physiotherapy service to Chelsea FC Academy and Chelsea Foundation on a sessional basis. The position will predominantly involve providing pitch side cover for weekend games, tournaments nationally and internationally and evening training sessions. The position will also require clinic cover including assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of players across the men’s academy.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide a comprehensive football physiotherapy service to the CFC teams as part of the medical team.
- To provide physiotherapy cover of CFC Academy, home and away matches, including national and international tournaments as required.
- To provide first aid cover for sessions at the Cobham training ground and Stamford Bridge including Chelsea FC soccer schools and Foundation sessions.
- To contribute the introduction and implementation of any injury prevention and performance enhancement programs as required.
- To conduct injury assessment and treatment for players in conjunction with other medical staff members.
- To implement individual player treatments and rehabilitation programmes as part of the medical team.
- To be responsible for the organisation and completion of all necessary paperwork associated with the role as requested by coaching and admin staff and club medical staff.
What you will bring to the role
- Professional degree qualification in Physiotherapy
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists
- Have a drivers’ licence and own car.
- FA Intermediate Trauma and Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF) certificate or FA Advanced Trauma and Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF) certificate
- Have more than 3 years post-graduate experience
