JOB TITLE: Senior Commercial Executive β Conferences & Events

LOCATION: Stamford Bridge β Travel throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis
CONTRACT: Permanent, 35 hours 5 of 7 days

Job Function
Drive new business into our venue, proactively promoting and selling Event at Club Chelsea. Building and developing current & new relationships with agents and corporates to enhance client retention and new business opportunities. Proactively identifying and implementing new concepts and growth strategies.
Responsibilities
- Generating New Business: Driving new revenue through a mix of inbound and outbound sales, consistently hitting targets and KPIs.
- Identifying Growth Opportunities: Researching and identifying ways to grow existing revenue streams and uncover new ones. Responsible for building strong business cases and leading the implementation of approved strategies.
- Managing Agency Relationships: Owning relationships with existing agents while expanding our network to ensure full market coverage.
- Providing Event Support: Providing ad-hoc assistance to Event Managers to help ensure smooth event delivery.
- Offering Matchday Support: Offering occasional operational or sales support to the Club hospitality team on matchdays.
- Representing Chelsea: Representing the M&E department at trade shows, activations, networking events and clients visits all of which may require travel across the UK.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven commercial experience in a Conference & Events role within a venue is essential; experience in a hotel or large multi-purpose venue is particularly advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 yearsβ B2B sales experience required.
- Demonstrable track record of devising and delivering new commercial concepts and offerings.
- Strong history of building and leveraging relationships and networks to drive revenue growth.
- Strong negotiator with sharp pipeline management skills and a proven ability to close deals efficiently.
- Clear, confident communicator across all stakeholder levels β able to win buy-in internally and externally.
- Results-driven, highly motivated, and committed to exceeding both personal and team targets.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Business, Event Management or a related field β Desirable but not required.
- Recognised sales/events/hospitality training or qualifications β Desirable but not required.
- 25 days annual leave (+ Bank Holidays) After three yearsβ service, AL days increase to 28.
