JOB FUNCTION
To lead Chelsea FC Foundation’s Schools Education Team across the breadth of the Education teams’ provision and the Foundation’s key areas of work. Developing innovative and engaging opportunities for children and young people to engage in.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all Schools Education programmes meet objectives within the Foundation wide strategy.
- Project manage the delivery, data collection, impact measurement and reporting of all programmes within the Schools Education Team.
- Provide effective line management, including support, advice and guidance to Senior Officers to equip them to deliver projects as per the requirements of the funder(s), including responsibility for all QTRs and their personal and professional development.
- Work closely with the Head of Education Programmes, Education Team Managers and other Foundation managers to develop Foundation wide programmes.
- Work with the Education Team Managers and Senior Officers to identify development opportunities and service gaps within existing provision.
- Support the Philanthropic Partnerships Team and Grants and Charitable Partnerships Teams with approaching suitable partners and/or funders as agreed.
- Liaise with internal teams and departments to develop best practice and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of Education programmes and that consistency of policy and procedure is implemented across the Foundation’s work.
- To liaise with key stakeholders and funders, building local strategic relationships and partnerships. Attending meetings and briefings on behalf of Chelsea FC Foundation.
- Ensure all contracts, SLAs, bookings and office duties are effectively managed to the benefit of the efficient management of the Schools Education Team.
- Ensure success stories are captured through working with Chelsea FC Foundation media staff.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE
- To be recognised as best in class and industry leading within identified areas demonstrating high performance both internally and externally.
- Ensure all initiatives are delivered within the prescribed budget, and record of all programme spend is collated in accordance with our partner and internal requirements.
- Lead on the Schools Education programmes monitoring and evaluation responsibilities in accordance with the needs of each funder. Ensuring programmes are generating the outcome and social impact stated within the funding applications.
- Complete project reports to a high standard at 6 month intervals, or as and when required either internally or in accordance with the needs of each funder.
- Use best practice and knowledge transfer to grow Schools Education Programmes across Chelsea FC Foundation’s key working areas.
- Be the Safeguarding and Health & Safety Lead for Schools Education Programmes, liaising with associated partner Safeguarding and Health & Safety Teams to ensure a clear line of reporting to the CFC Safeguarding Hub and Health & Safety.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
- Relevant professional and/or academic qualifications or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry sector.
- A relevant industry Sports Coaching Qualification, Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates.
- Institute of Leadership and Management qualification.
- Youth work or mentoring related qualification.
Experience
- A strong knowledge of and experience in working in a management position in an educational setting/ Charity and/or football and sports industry.
- Proven track record of developing and leading a high performing team of contracted and sessional staff members.
- A knowledge and the ability to implement monitoring & evaluation and quality assurance programmes relevant to the industry sector.
- Ability to project manage and organise multiple strands of work to a high level, including managing budgets.
- Outstanding track record in developing education programmes and opportunities for young people and adults.
- Knowledge of Chelsea FC Foundation and/or our partners and stakeholders.
