Chelsea Football Club is a global brand with a rich history of success, ambition, and innovation. As one of the most iconic clubs in the Premier League, we are committed to staying ahead, not only on the pitch, but also off the pitch.

We’re looking for a dynamic Retail and eComm Marketing Lead to join our team in the fast-paced world of sport. This right candidate will be a data-driven individual who can see the bigger picture and develop the right strategies, and then work alongside cross-functional teams to execute and make them happen.

This position requires commercial, digital marketing and channel planning expertise, alongside the technical know-how to drive awareness, consideration and conversion across multiple user journeys.

The ideal candidate will have big ideas, move fast, and deliver measurable results.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and own the integrated retail and e-commerce marketing strategy, aligned to overall objectives.
  • Translate strategy into actionable campaigns that drive footfall to our physical Megastore, traffic to our online store, and conversion.
  • Champion a seamless omnichannel customer experience, working alongside key stakeholders to provide a frictionless experience across all touchpoints.

Campaign and Content Management

  • Plan, execute, and optimise seasonal and key retail campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities across our retail and eCommerce platforms.
  • Partner with brand marketing, creative, channel and content teams to ensure compelling and cohesive campaign and asset development
  • Oversee the creation of compelling content for websites, social media, email, paid channels and other key fan touchpoints, providing data-informed inputs to improve overall fan UX.
  • Plan for and ensure performance marketing (SEO, SEM, email, social, and affiliate marketing) is coordinated between our third-party online partner and CFC, and then executed to plan

Performance Marketing & Data Insights

  • Lead digital marketing initiatives across paid search, paid social, display, and retargeting to maximise ROI.
  • Work closely with CRM and content teams to leverage owned and operated channels to drive awareness, engagement and conversion
  • Monitor campaign performance and manage regular performance reporting, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Optimise and drive e-commerce KPIs, including traffic, conversion rate, AOV, and fan engagement and retention metrics.
  • Manage Merchandise and eCommerce Marketing budget, working closely with internal stakeholders and our online partner to drive efficiencies and growth within budget
  • Work with data and tech teams to ensure proper integration of internal systems and data flows to ensure real-time or near-real-time access to the right data points

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a retail and/or e-commerce marketing role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable results across both physical and digital channels.
  • Expertise in campaign planning, content creation, and performance marketing (Google Ads, Meta Ads, programmatic, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of retail promotional cycles, merchandising, and customer engagement.
  • General proficiency in web analytics platforms (Google Analytics 4, etc.) and CRM/email marketing
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Organised, with strong project management skills.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work both independently and across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines; an individual with a β€˜β€™can-do’’ attitude who can thrive amidst dynamic conditions
  • Given the nature of working in football, may be required to work outside of traditional hours from time to time.
  • Knowledge of working within sport and/or football is a plus.
