JOB TITLE: Marketing Executive – Hospitality and Venue
DEPARTMENT: Marketing | Growth Marketing

Job Function:
An integral part of the Growth Marketing team, this role is responsible for the delivery of marketing campaigns for the club’s commercial business including Hospitality for Men’s and Women’s games at Stamford Bridge (Club Chelsea) and Venue (Stadium Tours, Meetings & Events and Special Events). The marketing executive will support each distinct business area in achieving their commercial and marketing targets through the planning, execution and analysis of global marketing campaigns.
Role Overview:
- Support the V&H Marketing team with end-to-end campaign management process to meet agreed campaign KPIs.
- Build strategic and comprehensive campaign and channel plans to be delivered across the club’s global marketing channels and external media channels. including: Web and app, CRM, social, matchday placements, amongst others.
- Offer marketing expertise, insights and advice to help build and optimise successful campaigns.
- Brief and develop static and video assets alongside in-house creative teams to meet the business areas’ requirements.
- Develop campaign reports with the Insights team to analyse, evaluate and optimise the impact of activations, through the lens of updating senior members of the marketing and commercial teams.
- Develop match-by-match marketing plans to support in Club Chelsea sales objectives, targeted by product and audiences.
- Support on the development of an audience-led global strategy to drive Tours and Museum ticket sales, including bespoke products.
- Develop and execute marketing plans for Meetings and Events, incorporating the use of their Wordpress website and LinkedIn channel.
- Maintain and develop key internal relationships with Commercial teams, Communications, Creative Studio, Insights, Video, Club photographers, amongst others.
- Work collaboratively with other marketing specialists, including CRM and Paid Media teams.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Campaign planning – host and attend weekly meetings with each business area and the relevant marketing stakeholders, to inform the strategic planning and scheduling of campaigns.
- Campaign delivery – ensure all campaign assets are produced and delivered to channel owners on time and as agreed.
- Campaign reporting – produce detailed reports for each campaign highlighting key insights, successes and areas for optimisation.
- Product positioning – update the Chelsea FC website and M&E Wordpress site in-line with new imagery and copy, to support product positioning.
- Copy writing – draft long and short-form copy for various channels including web, LinkedIn, sales collateral, among others.
- Creative briefing – own the relationship with the Creative studio, and occasionally external agencies, to brief all creative requirements, ranging from sales collateral through to OOH screen assets.

- Key campaign KPIs as set out for each campaign
- Return on investment across marketing spend – budgets set by Marketing Lead
- Specific Commercial and Marketing targets
- Excellent collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
- Progressive marketing approach.
Person Specification:
- Proven marketing experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Organised and able to prioritise workloads.
- Experience of writing, managing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns utilising a full range of marketing tools and channels.
- Solid understanding of digital and social marketing best practices.
- Outstanding organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative flair and eye for detail.
- Confidence with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work in a demanding environment.
- Given the nature of working in football, may be required to work outside of traditional hours from time to time.
- Proactive team player able to work individually and as part of a team.
- Experience managing LinkedIn as a marketing channel.
- Educated to degree level or relevant marketing qualification
- Knowledge of football or the sports industry
- Knowledge of the events industry
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry
- Experience using Photoshop or building template assets
- Experience using Contentful or a similar CMS system
