JOB FUNCTION: Support the day-to-day execution of Chelsea FC Men’s social media output across key global channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and WhatsApp). This role focuses on publishing content, creating simple graphics and edits, spotting trends, contributing ideas and supporting the team on matchdays.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creative, content and social media excellence (60%)
- Assist with publishing content across all Chelsea men’s social media channels.
- Support live matchday coverage, including posting updates, clips and reactive content.
- Ensure all content is on-brand, accurate and delivered on time.
- Edit short-form video content (e.g. clips, vertical video, match moments) using basic editing software and become an expert in using WSC to create highlights clips and packages.
- Bring fresh ideas by regularly reviewing other football, sport and entertainment social channels.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, formats and platform updates.
- Contribute ideas in team meetings to help content stand out in feed.
- Help identify opportunities for reactive and trend-based content.
- Supporting business goals: partners, campaigns, data collection & driving traffic to web & app (25%)
- Use social media to help drive traffic to Chelsea’s website and app.
- Support the promotion of merchandise ranges, ticketing and key club campaigns through social content.
- Assist in publishing partner-related content, ensuring it is engaging and aligned to campaign objectives.
- Contribute to posts that encourage fan sign-ups, registrations and data capture initiatives.
- Write clear, compelling captions and calls-to-action that drive clicks and engagement.
- Develop working relationships across the business to ensure social media can make a positive impact on club goals.
- Work to agreed KPIs and targets with the wider digital, marketing and commercial functions.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
- Proven experience working in digital, ideally with a focus on social media publishing and content production.
- Basic skills in Photoshop (or similar) and video editing tools.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook).
- Passion for football and a good knowledge of Chelsea FC and the Premier League.
- Keen interest in social media trends and digital culture.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback and develop new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team player with a proactive attitude.
