LOCATION: Stamford Bridge with travel to Cobham Training Ground

CONTRACT: Full-time (35 hours per week)

JOB FUNCTION: To lead the strategic development, coordination, and delivery of the Foundation’s Inspire Her programme across primary and secondary school and community settings. The role will manage both an education-based and community-based offer for the project, which focuses on female empowerment, increasing female participation in football and physical activity and positive mental wellbeing. The post-holder will drive growth for the team and programme, develop partnerships, and ensure measurable impact aligned with Education Programme and Foundation strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the strategic and operational delivery of the Chelsea Foundation’s Inspire Her Education Programme
  • Provide inspirational leadership, coaching and support to direct line reports alongside supporting the work and development of all colleagues in Education and Programmes teams
  • Develop high quality, curriculum-aligned resources in line with National Curriculum and DfE guidance
  • Lead on quality assurance for delivery of the Inspire Her programme
  • Lead on programme monitoring, evaluation, and reporting against KPIs
  • Create a positive, inclusive, high-performing team culture
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with schools and external stakeholders and partners
  • Drive programme growth and development opportunities
  • Communicate and engage with a target number of schools and participants across the Foundation in various boroughs, in line with the Foundation strategy and funding aims
  • Work with the Schools Education Manager and Head of Education to identify development opportunities and service gaps and subsequently identify suitable partners and/or funders to develop programme funding applications
  • Ensure inclusive, safe delivery for targeted groups
  • Undertake any Foundation activities that may be required in addition to the role

Measures of Performance:

  • To demonstrate excellent knowledge of the programme, its wider aims and the community and education spaces it operates in
  • To be responsible for collating and inputting all relevant monitoring and evaluation (M&E) information for the Inspire Her project
  • To develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including schools, colleges, local authority, voluntary sector organisations and other funders
  • To complete and submit project reports and updates at quarterly intervals, or as and when required in accordance with the needs of the project funders
  • To achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly targets as set out by the Schools Education Manager and work to targets as identified through the Foundation strategy and funding partner KPIs
  • To attend regular team and organisation meetings reporting key performance achievements/areas for improvement
  • To demonstrate the ability to drive and innovate new and existing opportunities individually and as part of a dynamic team
  • To demonstrate the ability to work in a confident and flexible manner, and understand the importance of private and confidential material
  • To ensure success stories and case studies are captured through working with Chelsea FC Foundation/Chelsea FC Comms and media staff

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, sports coaching, youth work or related fields
  • Safeguarding and First Aid certification
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification
  • QTS Teaching Qualifications (PETTL / PGCE)
  • Level 2+ sports coaching qualifications
  • Leadership or management training and qualifications
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years delivering education-based, football and/or sport-focused programmes in schools or community settings
  • Experience in line management
  • Experience working with girls or under-represented groups in an education or community setting
  • Programme planning, delivery, quality assurance and evaluation experience
  • Knowledge of government agendas and national guidance relating to education and young people
  • Experience designing education and football or sport development workshops, session plans and curriculum content
  • Ability to use a range of ICT and Multimedia for design and delivery
  • Leading and developing a team of staff through a high performance culture and approach
  • Outstanding track record in developing education programmes and opportunities for women and girls cohorts or under-represented groups
  • Knowledge of Chelsea FC Foundation, Football Club Charities, and Football Club Charity programmes
  • Knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation and quality assurance programmes relevant to the industry sector
  • GDPR knowledge compliance
