Location: Cobham Training Ground, delivering throughout London
Contract: Full time permanent, 35 hours any 5 of 7 days.
Job Function: To deliver safe, inclusive, high quality provision across all activities and provision.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the Area Lead in the effective planning and execution of the programme running in London, including all In-School and Out of School activity, and various activities delivered during school holidays.
- Deliver safe, inclusive and high-quality coaching activity daily across core programmes, including Player Development Programme activity.
- Support the area lead in planning and delivery of After school clubs, lunch time clubs, breakfast clubs, curriculum coaching and school festivals/tournaments.
- Lead on aspects of support for sessional staff and contracted coaches, including induction, training, mentoring, scheduling, and quality assurance.
- Conduct regular 1:1’s to review performance and objectives for contracted staff, and invest in their development/training opportunities.
- Carry out duties relevant to legislation and club policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other activities required in addition to the role.
Measures of Performance:
- Deliver coaching sessions across the week at no less than 60% of the contracted hours (excluding travel and set up/down).
- Ensure efficiencies at all activities and support the wider team in financial growth.
- Be a positive role model, creating a safe, positive, inclusive and fun environment for young people and participants.
- Build robust relationships with internal and external customers, local schools, clubs, organisations, businesses, governing bodies and authorities.
- Support CFC Football Development Staff to mentor and guide sessional workers in best practice and professionalism.
- Sustain and further develop activities through participation growth.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:- A minimum of the new FA Introduction to Football Coaching qualification (FA Level 1 equivalent) working towards a UEFA C-License.
- In date FA Safeguarding Children course & FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Involved in grassroots football as a participant and/or coach.
- Worked as part of a team within a sporting environment.
- Good communication and organisation skills.
- Ability to organise and motivate team members.
- Confident and outgoing personality.
- Aims to support and improve staff members.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Risk aware and confident in escalating information.
- Embodies the club’s BLUE behaviours (Brave, Lead, Unity, Edge).
- Adheres to the club’s policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and GDPR.
- Acts as an ambassador for diversity, equality, and inclusion.
- Creates a safe environment and acts to protect all young people and vulnerable adults.
- Reports any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department.
