LOCATION: Cobham – Chelsea FC Training Ground, plus travel to and from Away games

CONTRACT: Full Time, Fixed Term, 40 hours across any 6 of 7 days, or, as and when required according to team schedule.

The Role

To be responsible for supporting all technical & tactical aspects of players within this age group, alongside the head coach, with a clear focus on development. Primary responsibility is to support the head coach in all aspects of training, development, and team management. You will assist in planning and executing training sessions, providing individual coaching and feedback to players, and contributing to game day strategies and tactics. Additionally, you will play a key role in promoting a positive and inclusive team culture, providing guidance to players both on and off the pitch.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead and deliver high quality training sessions, capable of supporting players developmental needs.
  • To coach all training sessions in-line with the clubs playing philosophy and Women’s Academy Blueprint.
  • To provide opposition analysis, to support the Head coach of the U18’s in game strategy, and subsequent session planning.
  • To support in the planning of the team periodisation each week.
  • To help develop players capable of playing for CFCW at WSL and UWCL.
  • To provide performance and progress reports on players within the relevant age group, for the Head of Chelsea FC Women’s Academy and wider team.
  • When planning or delivering, provide direction to MDT staff on Roles and Responsibilities within each session, with the player development at the heart.
  • To undertake a progressive and ongoing professional development process, attending and participating in in-house CPD sessions (when possible) and external sessions (if relevant).
