JOB TITLE: U16 Performance Analyst

DEPARTMENT: Women’s Academy

DIRECT REPORTS: Lead Analyst and U16 Head Coach

LOCATION: Cobham Training ground – Plus travel to and from away fixtures

CONTRACT: 12 month FTC – Full time 40 Hours per week. 6 days from 7 OR as required by team schedule.

JOB FUNCTION: The U16’s performance analyst will be responsible for delivering bespoke analytical content to technical staff and players, including pre-, live and post-match analysis as well as individual analysis to be delivered in 1-on-1 settings.

About the role;

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-driven performance analyst to work alongside the leading technical staff of our women’s under-16 team. The individual will work closely with coaches to identify key development points for individuals, provide impactful feedback that can inform training and matchday strategies as well as be able to translate data into actionable insights. This person will be expected to help drive a high performance culture while supporting long-term player development in line with the club’s game model and philosophy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive match and training analysis to support individual development.
  • Attend all U16 fixtures and tournaments, with the purpose of filming, coding and providing analytical feedback.
  • Film all training sessions, coding individual actions in line with coach feedback and development plans.
  • Produce and lead individual and group-based review sessions aligned to IAPs (Individual Action Plans).
  • Lead meetings with coaches on pre-match opposition analysis when required to curate gameplans aligned with the club game model.
  • Create engaging video presentations and educational resources to enhance player understanding of tactical and technical aspects.
  • Manage and maintain designated analysis equipment, video databases, and digital workflows assigned to your age group.
  • Deliver age-appropriate feedback and build positive working relationships with academy players.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of analysis processes, best practice, and the academy performance environment.
  • Provide actionable insights to enhance individual development.
  • Help to drive the use of technology and innovation within the department.

Skills and Behaviours required:

Essential Skills:

  • MSc or other equivalent post-graduate qualification in Sport Performance Analysis, Sport Coaching or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience within elite academy football.
  • A strong understanding of football tactics, insight reporting and data management with a clear focus on player development.
  • Proven ability to work within a high performance multi-disciplinary team.
  • High competence in using video and data to deliver engaging, actionable feedback to coaching staff and young athletes.
  • Proficiency in Mac OS, Microsoft office and Hudl software.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working within an elite female youth development environment.
  • Relevant football coaching and/or talent identification qualifications.
